Our second golf day of the Summer has raised a fantastic £6000 for the charity. Golf enthusiasts flocked to Silloth Golf Club on Wednesday to play a round at a reduced price of £25 per couple. Funds were raised through entry fees, corporate sponsorship and a Silent Auction, with prizes generously donated by local businesses.
Thank you to all the golfers, sponsors, supporters and organisers and Silloth Golf Club.
The Appleby Golf Day took place on Friday and has raised an amazing £2482.00 for Hospice at Home. The annual event, organised by Volunteer Fundraiser Jackie Lambert, saw 111 entries this year, including 12 junior competitors. The winning golfers received numerous prizes that were generously donated by local businesses and a fantastic raffle with more prizes generated more funds for the charity.
Our thanks go to everyone who entered the competition, Appleby Golf Club, all the sponsors and supporters of the day and Jackie for organising such a successful event.
Cumbrians showed their amazing generosity over the past two weekends by donating nearly £1100 at the Penrith and Cumberland County Shows. Volunteers collected for 2 hours at the end of each show and were fantastically supported by members of the public. Our thanks go to the Show Committees, our volunteers, and everyone who donated.
