How does Make a Will Month work?

Making a Will is easier than you think!

During Make a Will month, participating solicitors give their time and expertise free of charge and supporters are asked to make a donation in lieu of their fee to Hospice at Home. Making a Will is incredibly easy and this is the ideal opportunity to make or update your Will.

Availability is limited with our participating solicitors, so please book your appointment soon to avoid missing out.

To book your appointment, simply call the solicitor of your choice below.

When is Make a Will Month?

October is our traditional time to host our Will writing campaign. To allow supporters to schedule their appointments in good time, we launch the appeal in September.

What is the suggested donation?

A Make a Will donation of £170 to Hospice at Home, for example, could go towards funding a Health Care Assistant providing a full night of care (this usually costs £169).

A full night of care could allow families and carers to have a good night sleep knowing that their loved one is being cared for. While you are making or amending your Will this October, have you considered leaving a legacy?

Participating solicitors:

15 Fisher St, Carlisle, CA3 8RW

01228 318644

Portland Building, Cooper Way, Kingstown, Carlisle, CA3 0JG

Do I have to include a gift in my Will to Hospice at Home?

If you take part in Make a Will Month there’s no obligation to leave Hospice at Home a gift. However, once you’ve provided for your loved ones, any gift you leave will help us to plan for the future, improve clinical services, and reach more people in need. Your legacy can make a lasting impact on your community.

We believe that no one should have to face a life limiting illness on their own. By leaving a lasting legacy gift in your Will, you will be enabling our clinical teams to provide free care and support to patients and families in the home“

If you’d like to leave a gift to Hospice at Home, tell your solicitor at your appointment or for more information about leaving a gift click the button below.
