We live at Wigton. My husband Don Bewley (age 74) has been given a fast track discharge home after 18 weeks in hospital with a palliative care package. He has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, he has a catheter in situ and is immobile and currently remains in a hospital bed 24/7. We have 2 careers calling 4 times daily for his personal care and myself his wife( ag e 77) at home cooking, shopping etc..24/7. We are both so glad he has got home albeit for end of life. His prognosis is weeks/ months. Our family are very supportive but do not live nearby.
I wanted to enquire as to whether you have anyone who could sit in occasionally for 2-3 hours to enable me to attended a craft meeting ? (They are held twice a month on a Wednesday afternoon). I am able to leave him for a short time to go shopping but don’t feel I can leave him for longer periods of time. I look forward to hearing from you. Home phone number 01697349943
