Young Supporters
At Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland, we believe that kindness has no age limit and our young supporters prove it every single year.
From school fundraisers to individual challenges, children and young people across our community are showing what compassion, creativity, and teamwork can achieve. Whether it’s swimming across lakes, baking cakes, selling handmade crafts, or hosting fun, themed events, every effort helps us continue to provide free, expert care and support for local patients and families.
Whatever your age or idea, you can make a real difference to families across North and East Cumbria. Every penny raised supports patients facing life-limiting illness, helping them receive care and comfort in the place they call home.
Fundraising Ideas
Getting involved is a wonderful way to learn about the power of community, while developing new skills and creating unforgettable memories. You might choose to:
- Organise a non-uniform day, bake-off, cake sale or sponsored silence.
- Host your own sports challenge, bunny hop, colour run, or talent show.
- Get creative with a craft fayre, car wash, or themed fundraiser.
- Nominate Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland as your school / nursery charity of the year.
Our young fundraisers — like Frankie with her magical Harry Potter exhibition, Fearne with her cakes and bracelets, and the children who braved Cumbria’s lakes for an epic 777 swim challenge — remind us that compassion and courage come in all sizes.
777 Young Swimmers Story
Nine determined swimmers recently completed the 777 Lakes Swim Challenge — seven miles across seven Cumbrian lakes in just seven days.
Thank You
If your school, youth group or family would like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you!
